Had the chance to try this out on the weekend and succeeded in 1 of 2 attempts, so, in an attempt to ensure we whoop ass next time I'm promoting a post on Reddit which leads to a website http://bounty.caer.me/ which in turn makes reference to Dulfy's Mission Guide.
Between the 3 resources we should be corralling those pesky varments in no time :-)
Oh, and hugs to JOI & DH in WvW - you guys keep on trucking !

Changes to WvW Patch Update
Hola, pleased to see that the devs are paying attention to WvW via the introduction of some changes designed to introduce new abilities, you can read all about it here on guild wars 2.com
The new world xp (wxp) required to obtain these new abilities is earnt by killing players, but there's a catch, players that have recently been killed yield NIL wxp experience while those players that have not been killed for 'some' time do, presumably players that have recently arrived & thus not been killed will fall into the second category.
The point my cracked brain thought of immediately is the section which states that recently killed players give NIL wxp, I am left wondering if the next time players find themselves going up against a zerg if they will be more selective on which toons they target?
I mean currently I am targeting anyone who keyboard turns, is is using weapons I feel are inappropriate for their toon etc and I assume most other players have their own system or list of priorities but what if the majority of players shift to targeting Guardians or thieves because they typically are harder to kill off - assuming they are played competently.
Will this patch change bring about the active targeting of certain professions? Will this prompt players whom play those targeted professions to change their setup to become tankier & harder to kill or just log to another toon to play WvW in which case we will see more support builds running around?
Add to that the fact you can earn new titles to complement the new abilities so that enemies will see your title and know that you are a specialist in seige or killing guards or npcs etc and that may cause a big red bulls eye to appear on your head much like a commanders icon makes you instantly visible on the battlefield.
Here's how the new interface will look:
And what a pleasure it is to stomp ET & FC AGAIN yes I know we're at the bottom of the world ranking but seriously facing off against the same servers week after week ... the rankings need reviewing even if we get stomped in a higher bracket at least for a week or 2 manually change servers around already!
In other news, not that I've played since the Patch but Culling should be over which means that sneaky mesmer porting their zerg should be far less effective now you can see the enemy immediately instead of that 2 second lag ...
If your PC isn't the newest latest & greatest remember to check your graphics settings to tweak things to retain those important fps.

World Boss Events version 2 !
Yes tis true I am submitting a post raaawr *cough* after a long hiatus where the game became a bore but now I am tentatively dipping a big toe into the waters of GW2 again and it seems some things have changed yippee (and alot hasn't /sigh).
Some of what's changed and is good is that World Events are more lucrative than before the last patch, not sure what World Events are then look at my earlier post called GW2 World Boss Events for some hints.
I was going to write a little about it however one of the blogs I followed previously makes a good case for explaining what's what so I'll give props to Hunters Insight & let them tell you all about it.
" Completing a world boss now means you're guaranteed at least one rare and as many as 3. This is an improvement over dungeon chests, personal story rewards, or just about any other loot in the game.

Using sites like Guild Wars Temple ( you can jump straight to the timers here ) and also the GW2 Stuff website ( more timers here ) with its very useful dragon timers,
guests have the ability to show up to dragons in advance of their spawn, dodgy
or not you can decide. I can't really see the difference between this and leaving characters sitting on top of chests at jumping puzzles or farms where you can log on loot & log off to play your main but then I've not put alot of thought into it?!
The Shadow Behemoth (finally
available) lasts at most two stages before being killed. He barely uses some of
his special skills & his adds die in moments, his big red circles barely
hit anyone.
The Maw also takes only
moments to kill with one of the events to kill a totem which does not take long
or have any kind of return attack, or maybe it does and is killed too quickly
and other events take mere moments and you have to struggle to tag each event.
The final boss also dies in moments, despite the cool as hell ice tornado.
The Shatterer works great if
you're on the right side of him if you're on the left he does not attack you or
significantly damage you in any way and again dies very quickly.
Tequatl & Jormag probably
work best out of all the dragons & requires at least two rounds to get him
to move to the secondary location.
Of course all of this has had a major impact on the
economy with the price of ectos going from about 38s before the patch to about
24s. "

Dynamic Event Chain List
Came across this post by Nightprowler21 on Reddit & liked it so much it's getting it's own post - feeling magnanimous.
Here's a list of all event chains that have 5 or more events in them, I got this information from the wiki page and consolidated it into a more manageable list for leveling. I hope that this list will help anyone who wants to level quickly as the chain events give massive amounts of experience. It will also be useful for maximizing the benefit you get from XP boosters as you can quickly find another decent event chain. Without further ado here is my compiled list.

Exploits in GW2
Awmahgawd!
Yea been on holidays - is good - anyways time for a rant seeing as how I'm kind of back.
Here's a link for a video on Youtube which details how to jump 'out of world' so you can travel around & not be attacked but yes you guessed it you can attack enemy players, npc's, dynamic events, walls you name it.
So why you angry bro?
Because this was common knowledge before I went on holidays 3 or 4 weeks ago and it's still there, I'm of the opinion that exploits are MAJOR issues that must be treated as business critical events by game developers, but apparently this isn't the case for Anet.
All the existing issues we have with bots, don't think for a second they're all gone, will be exacerbated by them exploiting, let alone those servers that we know harbour hackers whom instead of getting off stealing orbs of power will now run around griefing to make themselves feel good.
I can see the day where if this is not fixed a WvW server will report as being full yet when you finally log on can only locate a few players - because they're all 'out of world' capturing keeps & completing events.
Don't make out of world the new battleground, yes it's hard to fix the mechanic, but seriously come up with a stop gap ffs.
Rant off.

Patch Notes & other game changes
Seeing as how I bent myself over selling chests at 5c not 30c by being ignorant of Halloween & what it meant in game I've spent a very little time reading patch notes & found some potentially interesting things.
Daily's & monthly achievements give Jugs of Liquid Karma which apparently grant 4500 Karma each woot! The daily awards 1 jug & the monthly 10 so if you've been skipping dailies make the effort because over the course of a whole month that about 180k karma ?!
There's an official post here stating that Dungeon runs now give karma rewards & explains the calculation behind how much you will receive - as someone that has not run a single dungeon (shock horror!) I'm looking at running a few to see what the fuss is about & take advantage of the Karma changes.
Patch Notes from 22/10 covers what goodies may be looted from chests, tonics & outfits are available to buy in the gem store for the halloween period & how some ingredients may become harder to farm & so may become a little more valuable listed a few here:
Dulfy has a Shadow of the Mad King Scavenger Hunt guide if you're interested but be quick the end date is now 28th October no the 31st which was advertised.
Apparently they are tradeable because Spidy has then worth about 24c each so getting your monthly is eezy peezy.

- Butter and chocolate no longer drop from loot bags of level 50 and above.
- Butter and chocolate no longer drop from Supply Bags dropped by centaurs, Stolen Supplies dropped by ettins, Ritual Bags dropped by Flame Legion, or Materials Bags dropped by Inquest.
- Increased the chance to get vanilla beans from herb nodes in the Tarnished Coast and Steamspur Mountains.
- Increased the respawn timers for omnomberries, black crocus, ghost pepper, lotus, and Orrian truffles to 5 hours.
- Reduced amount of cinnamon dropped from nodes from 3,5 to 1,2. Cinnamon now only comes from green wood nodes.
- Reduced amount of walnuts dropped from nodes from 3,5 to 1,2. Walnuts now only come from soft wood nodes.
- Removed parsley and thyme from herb nodes in the Tarnished Coast and Steamspur Mountains.
- Rune of the Noble (Superior): Updated drakehounds summoned by these runes to die after 60 seconds (presume this is to fix the bug that allowed players to spawn packs of the things that would take down elites & players almost instantly...)

We've made an update to our newest patch notes–the finale is October 28th, not the 31st: ow.ly/eHUxJ ~RB2

There's another post on Reddit which states the way to access going to the Mists which you can use to quick travel has changed, you now access this feature through the PvP icon on the top left of the screen with the other short cut icons.
Further to my point above about Karma a post from Reddit states to use a Karma Booster before using the new Jug of Liquid Karma the 4500 Karma reward from the jugs will be 'boosted' yaaarrrr.
Also in this post is clarification on why the monthly achievement has those ??? marks in place:
No, they changed the last achievement to be Holloween themed. It's "Eat 150 Candy Corn." It just didn't get added for awhile. They announced it was for the holiday on the forums awhile back
Apparently they are tradeable because Spidy has then worth about 24c each so getting your monthly is eezy peezy.

Nothing much doing
As the title suggests there's nothing much of note happening of late in the game or on forums I visit so this is more of a journal entry that I can look back on.
Finally found my way into Orr with some buddies from our guild & completed the map getting a nice map completion reward and surprisingly saw only a handful of bots - on that note - do you seriously think that because your bot is in a guild we're fooled ?!
It's been a rough time on the trading post also with my normal favourite items being bombarded by cheap sales which reduces my profit margin to the point it's not worth selling them right now, particularly when I visit http://www.gw2spidy.com/ & can see there is a trend in place that gives me confidence the price will rebound unless there's a few new crafters out there.
A little pissed I fell behind in my reading the last week or so which meant I had no idea what halloween meant to in game items, specifically the Black Lion Chest (Locked) of which I had sold around 2,000 a few days before because I was short on room in my bank & bags /facepalm
Those buddies I mentioned have almost completed their characters in game personal story while I have ignored mine because it bores the hell out of me and annoys me to the point I want to punch myself in the face.
IT'S SO FRICKING BOOOOORING !!!
On top of which, every time you make a decision, win a battle or meet someone they want you to travel & meet a friend of theirs whom just happens to live on the other side of the fricking world and I am a PvPer by nature so my map completion & exploration is minimal to say the least so I have to physically RUN everywhere.
ASSHOLES !!!
I really can't express in a clear & concise manner how much I detest this personal storyline it's utter shite imo & I would happily ignore the damn thing except I want to help my mates & I'm not sure if because we're all rangers we can tick the box together at the same time in the one instance?
Maybe it's the general increased aggression levels created by this retarded personal story but World V World this week has been miserable I am yet to meet more than a handful of players with a brain online this week so as soon as we manage to claim the top half of the map & put some pressure on Garrison they fall apart & gripe & want to run off & attack DB or Bluevale or something equally stupid.
Anyway, if you know any good WvW focused guilds on Sorrows Furnace with a healthy number of players in the Oceanic region - pretty please shoot me a message / email / post otherwise I will consider buying a 2nd account & join an established Oceanic WvW server (considering buying a 2nd copy of the game for a lot of reasons).
So yea, that's me in a nutshell ( 8-( )
